- 1895 - GS YUASA batteries were created by Mr. Genzo Shimadzu in Japan as the world's first batteries.
- 1913 - Founder Shichizaemon Yuasa begins research into the electrolysis of metals.
- 1915 - Yuasa battery production is established at the Yuasa Steel Works in Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture; launch of battery production
- 1918 Established Yuasa Storage Battery Co., Ltd.
- 1919 Construction of a new factory in Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture is completed.
- 1920 - Start of production of car batteries. Completed Tudor coating for stationary batteries
- 1924 Dry battery research started. Production and sales will start next year
- 1930 - a battery was installed for the first domestic electric bus (model YKN).
- 1935 - Beginning of the production of glass mercury rectifiers.
- 1939 - Takatsuki's new dry battery plant is completed.
- 1941 - Construction of a new factory for the Odawara battery is completed. Start of production of alkaline batteries
- 1949 - Yuasa Dry Battery separates and becomes an independent company based on a restructuring plan.
- 1954 - Yuasa Storage Battery Co., Ltd. and Yuasa Dry Battery Co., Ltd. merge to form Yuasa Battery Co,, Ltd.
- 1963 - Established Yuasa Battery (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
- 1965 - Yuasa Battery, Inc. established. (USA) (currently Yuasa Battery Inc.)
- 1966 - Dry and charged battery first commercialized in Japan.
- 1966 - Established Yuasa Battery Taiwan Co., Ltd.
- 1972 - High-performance YUMICRON batteries manufactured using the YUMICRON ultra-thin separator are commercially available.
- 1973 - Kyoto Osadano plant completed.
- 1975 - Yuasa Battery (Indonesia) established (currently PT. Yuasa Battery Indonesia)
- 1981 - Yuasa Battery (UK) Ltd founded.
- 1988 - Founding of Century Yuasa Batteries Pty. Ltd. in Australia.
- 1992 - Cl introduced; company name changed from Yuasa Battery Co., Ltd." at Yuasa Corporation
- 1993 Establishment of Tianjin Yuasa Batteries Co., Ltd., the first motorcycle battery manufacturing and sales branch in China.
- 1996 Establishment of Guangdong Yuasa Sunny Batteries, the first industrial battery production and sales branch in China (Yuasa Battery (Guangdong) Co., Ltd, currently)
- 1997 - Established Yuasa-Delta Technology Inc., the first foreign participation in the Ni-MH battery business (Yuasa (Tianjin) Technology Ltd. is currently a manufacturing and trading subsidiary).
- 1998 - Ultra-thin lithium-ion polymer secondary battery launched.
- 2002 - Yuasa Battery (Shuntfe) Co., Ltd opened the first branch for the production and sale of car batteries in China.
- 2002 Established Yuasa Membrane Systems Co., Ltd.
- 2002 – Management company in Europe: Yuasa Battery Europe Ltd is established.
- 2004 - Yuasa Corporation merges with Japan Storage Battery Co., Ltd. GS Yuasa Corporation established.
